We are looking for a new volunteer handyman to work one or two mornings a week or a whole day a week. Monday Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Typical tasks will be decorating and small maintenance tasks. Working as part of the Estate Team your role will help us keep our buildings in the best condition possible.

We are looking for a volunteer events manager to lead a number of exciting events for Scouts and Guides in the next few years including Winter Camp 2024, Wilderness 2023, B4SE Camp 2023 Spooktacular 2023 and Music in the park 2023. We are also looking at running a number of other events for Scouts and Guides including various events for different sections.
Ideally you will have some experience of managing district or county events or Jamborees or even some commercial event experience. You’ll work with the centre management team to plan the event, help to advertise it, recruit volunteers for the event and deliver the event.

Ad hoc role as and when customers book history walks. You’ll be interested in the history of Beaudesert Park and be able to tell the story with enthusiasm and character.
Guided walks will last for approx 2 hours and include a short presentation and refreshments.

Voluntary – We are looking for a new Trustee to join our Management and Finance Board. This is a volunteer role. You will have some business experience and ideally some previous Charity governance experience and any working life experience of building repair and construction work would be useful but not essential. We are looking for a commitment of 7 meetings per year plus some ad hoc meetings dependent on current projects. Cooks to work 1 or 2 meal services per day. Competent cooks who are willing to follow instructions from our catering manager, flexible to work to our meals, ingredients, and plans. Able to work well with other people and respect other people input.
Kitchen porters to help serve, clean tables and wash up.
Traffic Marshalls to help direct traffic on Saturday and Tuesday who are willing to follow instructions from our Estate Manager. Able to work well with other people and respect other people input. Polite to customers yet firm when needed. X10

Shop volunteers to help serve in our shop in various shifts 9am to 9pm 4 per morning, afternoon and evening

Activity Instructors to assist in the activities team delivering activities. Archery GB, NSRA, or a Bushscout tomahawks qualification useful but not essential. People with climbing qualifications helpful to help harness up on roped activities. x 20

Toilet cleaners to help keep a regular cleaning regime going throughout the event. Working with our regular cleaners you will help keep the toilets sparkling. x4

The Role: We are looking for individuals passionate about the outdoors that can assist the Estate team with winter woodland management projects. You’ll be working outdoors at all times, on our 120 acre estate. Tasks are varied, including conservation activities and assisting with forestry operations.
Key duties:
Tree planting
Ongoing care of planted trees
Assist estate team with woodland management
e.g. rhododendron clearance, trail maintenance, hedge cutting, conservation projects
Other information:
Prior experience of forestry work not necessary.
This role includes a mix of independent and team work. The role is entirely outside. Applicants should be physically fit for outdoor work. Projects are set by the Estate Manager.

Can you do, painting and decorating, basic plumbing, replace electrical fittings like for like, carpentry, deep cleaning. Our aim is to create a team of people who can come in most Thursday mornings, and pick up the fix it forms, investigate, repair if possible or order parts for next week. We are looking for 6 month to 1 year work placement students. We offer free accommodation in our new staff lodge and meals to our long term work placements. We have vacancies in the Activity team and Parks team. Lots of training provided.
We have volunteer vacancies for the following roles. Some of these are for specific projects, events or tasks others are regular weekend or weekday work days.
Primarily to help with the Friends of Beau membership, To assist with Legacy documentation, grants and funding applications.
We have a number of places available for a full time or regular placements supporting our centre to deliver amazing experiences to young people. Minimum placement 1 month This can be full time or weekends.
You get: Full training, uniform, food, accommodation and an amazing experience seeing young people develop. You’ll also make lifelong friends and develop some amazing skills that will look great on your CV or university/job application.
Daily tasks will include: setting up activities, running activities, activity maintenance, general site maintenance, cleaning buildings and cleaning of toilets.
You just need to bring lots of energy, a positive can do attitude and willingness to be outside in the great British weather and we’ll provide the rest
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to commit to at least a 1 month placement or regular weekends.

As a charitable trust we rely on the hard work of a large volunteer team who provide support for our paid staff and help us to complete projects that we would not normally be able to complete. Volunteers assist with a wide range of tasks on site and are instrumental to the success of our centre. In return we offer training, a DBS, and uniform to regular volunteers.
